Human Resources Specialist - Training & Recruiting

About the Job
Management of full-cycle recruitment process to attract, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates who support organizational goals. This role will partner with and build strong relationships with hiring managers, workforce agencies, and both technical colleges and universities.
Maintains the HRMS system to support the Human Resources function. Research and implement HRMS system enhancements. Troubleshoot system errors. Provides specialized reporting and provides user training.
Directly assist the HR Manager in the development, implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the plant's business objectives. Support all employees in the areas of recruitment, EEO, compensation, benefits and employee relations. Incumbent must continually evaluate policies and practices and initiate improvements when warranted.

Prepares human resource documents, records, statistics, and handles confidential material in the HR department. Answers general questions and inquiries in all areas of HR. Completes special assignments and projects as required. Assists with recruitment activities and conducts new hire orientation. Leads with Wellness and Diversity Initiatives for the facility.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job requirements and strategies.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, etc.
  • Build & maintain talent pipelines for both current and future needs.
  • Implement and administer policies and procedures consistent with the plant's EEO policy.
  • Provide guidance in labor market trends and best practices.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system, records, and documentation.
  • Develop and administer new employee orientation.
  • Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Maintenance of Attendance/Vacation/Gainsharing/FMLA – weekly tracking, quarterly audits and accurate payouts of quarterly Gainsharing.
  • Track recruiting metrics.
  • Maintain HRIS.
  • Support affirmative action, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage all training records, evaluate progress, and ensuring training timeline and documentation.
  • Maintain training matrix for production.

Education:
  • Associate's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, sourcing.
  • 1-2 years' experience in training and record keeping.
