Exempt Salary Position - First Shift

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Lead preventive and response maintenance program for the plant including prioritizing projects, PM’s and response to down equipment on a daily basis. This includes coordinating with operations and materials planning delegating assignments to technicians and follow up to insure correct troubleshooting and workmanship is completed. This also involves training and coaching technicians in plant processes and work skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead and mentor maintenance technicians to improve safety workmanship and 5S.
  • Drive maintenance cost down through building strong preventive maintenance system.
  • Drive improvements in mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Coordinate with engineering manager and production manager on key projects and kaizen.
  • Provides input for future planning of USEV to meet company goals.
  • Responsible for training and evaluation of maintenance technicians.
  • Drive and support preventative maintenance schedules for supply & finish end activities.
  • Coordinate with engineering on facilities maintenance work including compressor, cooling tower, HVAC and DI systems.
  • Coordinate start-up and shutdowns.
  • Plan and organize shut down projects.
  • Track and accumulate cost savings.
  • Follow the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System guidelines on a daily basis.
  • Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates degree.
  • Supervisor experience (maintenance/manufacturing).
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, project planning, capital equipment justification, as well as machine and tool design concepts.
  • Knowledge of customer requirements, procedures, standards, and product applications.
  • Interpretation and understanding of the Quality Management System, AIAG manuals and overall plant system.
  • Strong administrative, management and interpersonal skills, complemented with both written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Process knowledge to guide continuous improvements.
  • This position requires coordination of technical interchange between Japanese and American manufacturing technologies.  Develop manufacturing processes and engineering procedures that meet Eaton Corp. and Nittan Valve requirements.
