US Engine Valve is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tool Crib Expeditor/Attendant
Essential Functions:
- Manage stockroom purchasing:
- Manage Bin Needs report.
- Manage acknowledgments and ensure that purchase orders are acknowledged timely.
- Maintain purchase order, acknowledgments, and packing slip files.
- Practice and enforce proper receiving procedures:
- Verify inbound shipments.
- Assure accurate receiving against purchase orders.
- Recognize problems with received items, research, correct, document problems.
- Vendor contact concerning late orders, item/part number discrepancies, quantity discrepancies.
- Expediting critical items needed for supply stores replenishment.
- Practice and enforce procedures for stockroom add/change/delete processes.
- Practice and enforce proper item disposition and organization according to supply stores master listing and commodity groupings.
- Assist associates with item requisitioning and CribMaster processes.
- Work closely with stockroom attendants to acquire and maintain 100% inventory control and accountability:
- Manage open orders report & cycle counting.
- Manage inventory organization.
- Manage transaction reports.
- Control flow of miscellaneous shipping of repair items; documentation, timing of stockroom items.
- Follow the Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, and Sarbanes Oxley guidelines on a daily basis.
- Control expenses through cost savings, cost avoidance, usage awareness.
- Practice and enforce proper CribMaster processes.
- Assist with measuring and documenting supplier performance.
- Support Purchasing Department and Materials Supervisor with special projects.
Specialized Knowledge:
High school diploma or GED and one of the following:
- Associates degree 1 year materials and/or manufacturing experience.
This position also requires inventory management computer experience. This position requires strong computer skills and attention to detail. This position also requires a sense of urgency and self-management with adequate but minimal direction. Good communication skills are also required.

The storeroom is primarily controlled by a computerized inventory system, which the user must operate. Machining experience (production) would benefit the incumbent. With this experience would come technical knowledge of the tooling and supplies the plant needs to support production. If no machining experience is available, some tool crib-related experience would be necessary.
